This 1950's Bill Atkinson vintage linen 2 piece short outfit looks as if it was never worn. The linen fabric is outstanding and it is unbelievable that this ensemble was designed almost 70 years ago!
The high waisted shorts have side slit pockets, center seam top stitching and close with a double ring attached "belt" and a front zipper. The jacket and it buttons up the front and has a corduroy collar.
The label is Bill Atkinson Glen of Michigan and we acquired quite a few pieces with the same label from one of our all time favorite estates of vintage clothing and accessories. The woman who owned this outfit took incredibly good care of her clothing and barely if ever wore most of her pieces. She particularly loved American designers including Claire McCardell, Clare Potter, Vera Maxwell, Norman Norell and Geoffrey Beene. She also had a beautiful collection of European designer clothing.
We estimate this to fit a size 6 but please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit. This ensemble is in excellent condition.
